Coconut Rose Lemonade
This recipe comes in partnership with Be Clean Shop, a studio with a curation of small-batch natural skincare & beyond—think sustainable jewellery!—located in Washington, D.C.. The owner Becky carefully selects each line vigilantly to nourish your skin without harsh chemicals, synthetics, preservatives, or animal products so you don't have to break out—literally—over a Google rabbithole search for natural skincare. To help you even more intricately, she has a newsletter coming up next week that is a guide for tropics getaway-themed skincare.
Below are my picks from her shop infused with coconut & rose for a little tropical getaway at home, dedicated especially those in the NorthEast braving a blizzard. Especially with the drastic fluctuation of temperatures, we not only need to take extra care of our vacation-yearning minds but also our skin to prepare for warmer weather. Give yourself a wholistic treatment . . .
I have developed this recipe inspired by the tropical theme of Be Clean's newsletter that will hydrate the skin with electrolyte-rich coconut water; restore elasticity & glow with rose; and provide pH balance with lemon to stave off breakouts.
Ingredients
1 cup Raw Coconut Water, I prefer Harmless Harvest
1 lemon, juiced
1 tablespoon dried rose petals
2 tablespoons water
Stevia to taste, I prefer bitter-free Omica Organics
Directions
Gently heat some water to just before a boil to pour two tablespoons over the rose petals in a large glass.
Allow the rose petals to soak in the water until the water cools down to the touch.
Squeeze the lemon juice over it and let it sit for another five minutes to soak.
Pour cold coconut water over the petals. You can strain them at this point as well.
Sweeten to taste!
