Calming Flower Chocolate Smoothie
This beautiful smoothie comes in collaboration with our friends at Honey Mamas, who create handmade 5-ingredient chocolate bars free from refined sugars, gluten, soy, and dairy, unlike conventional bars. You can learn more about the integrity and sustainability of their ingredients here.
We advocate for high-quality chocolate. This can be pricier than average, but it is an investment if and when possible. As it's consumed in moderation and on occasion, chocolate in which we financially invest can be a psychological investment of experience. We savour it more as it's a treat. It's also the investment we make with our dollars and advocacy by supporting companies with sustainable practices. When we buy cheaper chocolate, such as Hershey's, we are also indirectly (or directly for a less P.C. stance) the oppressive practices these companies have. The range from child labour practices to environmental ones. You can read more about a spectrum of these actions in this article that covers "slave-free" chocolate company, Tonys. It's not our preferred brand in dietary terms but it is sustainability-wise.
The Thirlby is thrilled to support companies that create empowering opportunities for both the wellbeing of consumers and producers. These honey cocoa bars are a delightful epitome. Here is a dedicated chocolate smoothie you can enjoy with the Honey Mamas bars. An unconventional pleasant use of chocolate bars!
